As a community activist and Bay Street Lawyer, I know that it takes a strong voice to get things done. I will fight for you at Town Council and work to get us the things we need in Ward 7.
SMART GROWTH AND INCREASED TOWN FACILITIES
The Province mandated a growth plan in 2006, effectively doubling the density in certain municipalities in Ontario. To help manage this mandate, our Town enacted the "Livable Oakville Plan," which will take a phased approach to growth until 2031.
With this inevitable growth, we are seeing an increasing need for Town Facilities and Infrastructure. My plan calls for these things to have time to catch up with the rapid growth.
SAFETY
Our Ward is home to so many new and young families. With the large boulevards in our newer developments, traffic safety is a key concern for our local businesses and families alike. I will work with local residents and police to advocate for a safer community.
INNOVATION & BUSINESS
Oakville has great local businesses, our Ward is an attestation to that statement. My plan helps smaller businesses market, while inviting new startups so Oakville continues to be the best place to live and work.
BECOME A #CONNECTED TOWN
The Digital Age is now. For Oakville to keep pace with other municipalities, I will push for real-time GPS Wi-fi on transit, auto-adjusting traffic lights to help with congestion, Wi-fi hotspots and more.
